I finally finished it:!: I couldn't wait to scan it and get it posted. I decided not to update the Shania Twain WIP only because I figured you can see the progression. The image I used was a clipping from a magazine. Please keep in mind that the orginal pic of her is very dark. I tried to replicate that as best as I could. I'm extremely pleased with this image since it is my first fan art and also my first true portrait. Hope all of you like it:!:


I dedicate this to my husband greenarmani. He's always inspiring me. :heart:


Nearly 18 hours......I know, it's a long time, but hey...it was very hard and frustrating...and it was my first time dedicating myself to such an image. :O_o:


Mechanical pencil with HB lead in 0.5mm & 0.7mm on Strathmore medium 11"x 14" 80 lb. (130 g/m squared)

Very beuatiful. I think you could have smudged it a little more because the shadows on here face have gaps but still it's beutiful. Her eyes are too black, and her lips are a little dioriented, her hair could aslo use a little more movement. But when you look at it in whole it's fabulous

Wheee, its done! Geez, for a first portrait, that is criminally, insanely, awesome! Everything is great, from drawing , shading, depth, fantastic stuff! Keep it up! :D

wow this is very good. the shading looks excellent, especially on the lips. and also the teeth look very realistic which i often find hard to do. the detail in the hair is also very good. :clap: it really looks like her too.
